Clinical technology 3R planning

A program to help hospitals with relocation, replacement, recycle plans, taking into consideration past, present and future technologies to invest in appropriate technology for deployment without compromising cost and quality. Assistance with equipment removal and relocation and asset disposition is available.

Standards driven care model planning

Simulation and analysis of a future project before a physical structure exists, which can help assess workflow and redesign, noise disturbances, proximity delays, congestion, collision, availability and accessibility of resources.

Equipment planning

The service includes assistance with selection, procurement, vendor coordination, equipment move-in assistance, commissioning and training, inventory, life expectancy, schematic design, design development, construction documents and administration. Equipment planning provides the linking pin that connects stakeholders to architects and engineers through experience and application of technology decisions. Implementation of current functions to future needs through technology and its application to real situations is a part of this exercise. Furnishing owner equipment documentation by working with all stake holders is a part of the exercise which includes equipment budget, capital avoidance and relocation costs for the entire project.

Strategic capital budget planning

The service includes existing technology audit/analysis, service line technology review and analysis, Market technology analysis, Five-year capital budget planning recommendations and Request for Proposal (RFP) development. The program provides a year-to-year projection of cost for maintenance of Status Quo, expansion due to volume growth or replacement due to new technology.

Master planning

The technology component provides the capital planning requirements to achieve the overall goal for the facility, staffing and revision of services provided.

Transition planning

This service ensures a smooth migration to future spaces for patients, staff and equipment and the staff are prepared for the opening of their new facility. We use systems engineering approach to maximize both operational and organizational efficiencies. Every aspect of the design, from drawings to operational plans, is “brought to life” for the staff’s comprehension. Our specialist team identify and refine critical process flows. This journey is likely to face obstacles, cultural challenges and workforce implications however we manage these with the end goal of readiness in mind.

Patientcare centered asset management

Cost effective management of assets through lifecycle with no compromise to quality which is focused around patient care. A program to help hospitals bestow a patient with a right to safe and tested medical equipment. The service includes verifiable verification of existing inventory via portable data collection devices.

Annual clinical technology assessment program

An annual comprehensive report to assist hospital administration prioritize capital disbursement and financial allocation for technology replacement based on factors that include but are not limited to device history, supportability, utilization, clinical effectiveness, advances in technology and risks associated with continued use. We also provide a detailed assessment of current technology by quantity, condition, age, estimated replacement cost and estimated life.

Service strategy and contract analysis

Vendor contract analysis to right size maintenance and a program to assist hospitals dynamically evaluate and strategize maintenance management of clinical technologies before end out of warranty through replacement. The service includes purchasing support, contract analysis and negotiation.

Healthcare re-engineering

Redefining the boundaries of healthcare through application of various disciplines of engineering assisting hospitals with cost savings or avoidance.

Capital acquisitions review

Help hospitals with a customized capital disposition tool called Q2Q - Quantify to Qualify - to bring objectivity to the most subjective matter in any healthcare organization. The service includes full blown new product comparisons of clinical technologies based on several key criteria and participation in customer product evaluations committees.

Clinical technology optimization program

A program that would help hospitals to standardize clinical technologies and optimize features' usage for maximum patient throughput, establishing a balance between operational and organizational efficiencies. This program includes ROI-based clinical technology planning.

Project management

Our project managers work with owners, architects, contractors and engineers to identify equipment system requirements during the design phase of each project. Oversight & management throughout the entire project to ensure that risks are mitigated and that schedule & budget deadlines are met. Our PMs with hands-on experience provide the proper skill-sets to meet the unique requirements of every project.

Service activity and repair management

A program to help hospitals maximize medical equipment uptime for the delivery of minimally interrupted quality healthcare a patient deserves and to meet regulatory compliance.

Reliability analysis

Evaluation of equipment performance by using service industry benchmarks before a device can be released off warranty period and monitoring reliability through the lifecycle.

Clinical technology deployment program

Assisting hospitals with clinical technology acquisitions for their new construction or renovation projects and/or existing technology within a department or in whole, to identify opportunities’ to optimize cost quality and patient satisfaction to get the most out of their investment. This includes clinical technology variable with patient and staff workflow from a systemic perspective.

Biomed vendor screening and selection assistance

Assisting hospitals interested with their decision of outsourcing clinical or biomedical engineering function, in qualifying Independent Service Providers (ISO’s) depending on hospitals medical equipment, priorities and risk mix. We also assistance with policy and procedure analysis and development.

Installation support services

Skilled equipment staging, delivery and installation services. We monitor and manage the construction schedule to ensure proper equipment phasing for all owner/contractor and vendor installations. This review includes all mechanical, plumbing & electrical (MEP) requirements are met based on the equipment planned for the project. Managing and submitting the project “Punch List” on the client’s behalf to ensure all outstanding issues are coordinated & resolved is a part of this exercise. We function as a liaison between the client and all other entities on the project.

Mergers and acquisitions

The value in combination of specific services at one site or duplication of services at multiple sites is a critical determination of the value of combining existing technology. This process often results in unique “Centers of Excellence” for multiple services that select the premium equipment from all facilities to a single site.
